Simon Connor is a composer, sound designer, and producer based in Manchester UK. He is also a researcher and lecturer in Music Technology at the University of Salford. His main interests are exploring the boundaries between sound design and composition, merging found sound, field recordings and traditional instrumentation. Simon mainly works in sound and music for film and for gallery based installations, examples of work can be found via the links above. His collaborative work with filmmaker Huw Wahl has been described by The Guardian as 'a feast for the ears and eyes'.
His work has been featured on BBC Radio 3, and collaborative film projects have been screened/performed internationally, including CPH DOX (CPH), DOKU Arts Festival (DE), FILAF International Art Book and Film Festival (FR), Alte Schmiede (AT) Flatpack Festival (UK), the ICA London (UK) amongst others.
